yesterday, selene talked to me. she told me wanted to empower me to avail myself for God's will in my life and not to be like the dead sea, only a reservoir of blessings. she said a lot of other stuff but i guess the main point is that. haha. i think cause for me it is naturally difficult to share stuff with people who are not really really really super close to me. but after hearing what she has said, i asked God is that what i should learn how to do cause after all God's word is final. and i kept hearing God telling me that i am called to be a blessing. then i turned to my bible, and read this precious moment story where this girl didn't want to give her pocket money to the missionary because 'but it's my own, and i want to spend it for me.' when i read this it directed me to 2 corinthians 9:6,7. what this girl said what exactly what i felt. probably not so much in terms of money but my life and stuff. and in 2 corinthians 9:6 about sowing and reaping and God loves a cheerful giver and stuff, i always assumed that it was for tithes and time. but then it dawned on me that it does not only mean that. the seed that i can sow, which i can't really explain what it is like for example sharing God's revelations with others, giving to others in their lives, being a light for God's word can also apply. 'so let each one gives as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or necessity...' this verse really speaks to me. because i have just found out this purpose in my heart to me is really to be a blessing to others.
after which God is able to make all grace abound toward me, that i, always having sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. i always saw these two verses as seperate and not together. but i finally saw that as we sow more, God's grace is always there to supply our needs and every good work! carrying on, it summarises that through what we want to give, others may give thanks through us to God and God definitely gets all the glory!
after reading this chapter, it really empowers me that my vision in this life is that i am called to be a blessing. a blessing to others. i don't want to live this life just for my own but for God's glory. and because of the gift that God has given to me- Jesus Christ, it demonstrates His infinite love for me that i will want to love others through Him who gives me all the strength. it also encourages me as to why i want to be a pharmacist, to be a blessing to others. no point pursuing grades in this life. when i pursue Jesus, all these things will be added to me, He will give me wisdom and strength to study.
